With over 16 years of experience, Dexter is an Audit and Assurance partner in BDO's Huntsville office. He has a wide range of expertise serving small to mid-sized owner-managed businesses. His industry expertise includes construction, trades, professionals, automobile dealerships, not-for-profits, municipalities, charities, and real estate.
Dexter is a BDO Assurance Specialist, and also participates in BDO's Public Sector industry Group and BDO University professional development initiatives. This includes annual PSAB Updates, an annual three day assurance specialist conference, accounting and assurance updates, and web-based seminars on specific accounting and auditing topics.
As a member of the BDO Real Estate and Construction Industry Group, Dexter serves a large number of clients in the construction sector. He is familiar with the unique challenges facing the industry and is able to share knowledge and best practices learned through his experience. He is also a member of the BDO Municipal Industry Group and serves several clients in the Public Sector.
Dexter has significant experience with companies that report in accordance with Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE), Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations (ASNPO) and Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAB). His specialties include: audits, reviews or compilations of financial statements; corporate and personal tax returns; preparation and planning; estate and succession planning; and advisory services.
