Police responded to an attempted robbery that took place this morning at 2:57 a.m.

Bracebridge OPP officers were dispatched to a Circle K convenience store located on Taylor Road in Bracebridge after an unknown person, dressed in black with their face and head covered, entered the store and gave a note to the cashier demanding money.   Police say the cashier was able to exit the store and call police. The suspect fled on foot in the direction of Dudley Drive and was unsuccessful in obtaining anything from the clerk.

The suspect is described as a white male in his twenties, approximately 6' tall, estimated to be between 175-185 lbs. He was wearing a black face covering, possibly a neck warmer, pulled up over his nose and a black hat pulled down revealing only his eyes. The suspect was wearing a black jacket with a white marking on the left breast side and dark coloured pants with a large white sticker or marking on the left knee area.

Police are asking for members of the public who have home surveillance systems or video doorbells to look for any information between 2:45 a.m. - 3:30 a.m. that may help identify the suspect.
