The address from the throne was read at Queen's Park on Tuesday afternoon as the Doug Ford administration outlined its goals for the upcoming term.

The address, which was read by Lt.-Gov. Elizabeth Dowdeswell, referenced the hospital-related healthcare crisis directly but offered little details on how the government intends to handle it.

The re-tabled budget that the government submitted include extra direct funding for parents, according to the speech from the throne - an additional $225 million over the course of two years to provide parents with direct subsidies to assist in their children catching up.

There are, however, "no simple solutions" to the inflationary pressures, according to the speech.

The government also pledged to spend $86.6 billion over ten years on constructing and enhancing transportation infrastructure.
