$71K in contraband found at Beaver Creek
Correctional Services Canada reports that on Wednesday, April 10, staff members at Beaver Creek Institution, seized a package containing contraband and unauthorized items. Among the items confiscated were tobacco, marijuana, and methamphetamine, with an estimated institutional value of $71,090.
The CSC says they employ various tools such as ion scanners and detector dogs to prevent drugs from entering its facilities. These measures aim to maintain a safe and secure environment for all individuals. CSC also is collaborating with law enforcement agencies to take action against those involved in smuggling contraband.
No arrests were reported.
