Burk's Falls gets update baseball diamond thanks to the Toronto Blue Jays
The Toronto Blue Jays have awarded the Village of Burk’s Falls $50,000 under its Field of Dreams program for extensive improvements to the local ball diamond.
This includes repairing and replacing sections of the fence, and creating dugouts. The project also aims to improve the infield, which currently consists of old aggregate.
The cost is estimated at $76,000, and the council has approved using $26,000 from its reserve fund to augment the Jay’s funding.
