Huntsville to remain tight-lipped on cyber security incident

In an exclusive interview with Hunters Bay Radio, Councilor Scott Morrison says that the town is recovering from the cyber security incident that occurred last month.
Morrison says that anyone affected by the hack, would be contacted directly, however, at this time the municipality would not be updating the general public on the impacts of the incident on residents or town systems, and the cost of ransom the town may have paid.
He stressed that council wants to be fully transparent, but their legal council has advised them not to provide details, or the town may experience repercussions from the hackers.
