Man with a weapon and drugs arrested near Huntsville Public School

OPP arrested a man after a report of a male with a weapon near Huntsville Public school yesterday.
Police say that officers responded to a report of men fighting on Susan Street. The initial report was that one of the men had a weapon. Police attended the area and arrested a man.
42-year-old Richard Ryan of Huntsville was arrested and faces charges including:
- Possession of Cocaine and Opioids for the purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime
- Possession of a Weapon Contrary to Order, and
- Causing a Disturbance
The school was placed on a hold and secure until the man was arrested.
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
