Muskoka Bears Jr. C Hockey Club makes Bracebridge home
The Muskoka Bears Jr. C Hockey Club is set for their debut this September, marking a historic moment in Bracebridge's Junior C Hockey history.
Recently welcomed into the Provincial Junior Hockey League (PJHL), the Bears will compete in the 8-team North Carruthers Division, sparking rivalries with nearby teams including Huntsville.
As a not-for-profit, community-funded organization, the Bears emulate a successful PJHL model with financial investments from eight management team members and five advisory committee members.
Relying on sponsors, donors, and fans for 100% funding, they've raised $70,000 through creative marketing and community engagement.
