OPP investigating death in South River

OPP are currently investigating a death in the Village of South River.
Yesterday, officers from the Almaguin Highlands Detachment responded to a report of a deceased individual located in a residence on Ottawa Avenue in South River.
A post-mortem is being conducted, to determine a cause of death and the Almaguin Highlands OPP advise there is no risk to public safety.
The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of OPP Forensic Identification Services, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
Residents in the area will continue to see an increased police presence.
