OPP lay multiple charges after assault and forcible confinement

The Almaguin Highlands OPP laid multiple charges after an assault investigation.
Police say that on Sunday, April 21st, officers responded to a report of an assault. The victim reported being assaulted and held against their will prior to reporting the incident to police.
As a result of the investigation, 35-year-old Matthew Fisher, from Burk's Falls Ontario was arrested and charged with:
- Forcible Confinement
- Assault
- Assault with a Weapon
- Assault Causing Bodily Harm
- 2 counts of uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm, and
- 2 counts of possession of a Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
The accused is being held for bail scheduled for Friday.
