Join us this week as the Muskoka Authors Association welcomes our very own award-winning author, Bruce A. Hanson, for a practical and engaging session on how authors can actually sell their books.
Bruce is the author of the mystery-adventure novel Double Cross, along with several other works including the children’s book Elephants in My Stew. His writing spans multiple genres and has earned numerous awards and honours in short fiction competitions across Canada.
But Bruce doesn’t just write books — he gets them into readers’ hands.
In this session, Bruce will share real-world strategies for selling books as an independent author, including:
• How to approach local retailers and bookstores
• Tips for making consignment work effectively
• Ways to build relationships with stores and venues
• Practical ideas to increase visibility and sales
• Lessons learned from his own author journey
Whether you’re newly published, considering self-publishing, or simply wondering how to move books beyond friends and family, this talk will offer practical insights you can put into action right away.
Come ready with questions — and leave with strategies.
