Muskoka Arts & Crafts invites members of the media to join us for the opening reception of Gilded Eden — a compelling duo exhibition by Col Mitchell and Wendie Donabie that explores the tension between nature’s true treasures and humanity’s perception of wealth.

Through mixed media, gilded sculpture, poetry, and prose, Gilded Eden reveals the fragility and majesty of the natural world. Gold and silver transform from symbols of material value into reflections of Earth’s brilliance, while shells, gemstones, and soft pink hues echo both beauty and warning.

This immersive exhibition invites reflection, emotion, and conversation — urging us to reconsider how we measure richness in a world where nature’s voice grows ever more urgent.
