Bracebridge reviews exotic animal by-law

The Town of Bracebridge is reviewing the Exotic and Wild Animal Control By-Law and is seeking feedback from the community. Adopted in 2002, the by-law outlines regulations prohibiting the keeping of certain "exotic" animals necessary for public health and safety as well as animal welfare, particularly as it relates to appropriate care for species with highly specialized needs.
The Town says that a review is needed to address community interest, education and safety.
The community is invited to review the current by-law and provide their feedback through an online survey at engagebracebridge.ca/exoticwildlifereview by Monday, May 13.
