The screening features two Canadian films from the 2026 CFF Closing Night program: The feature film is THE BEARDED GIRL (starring Anwen O'Driscoll of BET and Jessica Paré of MAD MEN) by Jody Wilson whose past credits include AVENGERS, TERMINATOR: DARK FATE, THE LAST OF US. The feature is preceded by the short film LEOPARD by Dan Abramovici whose past credits include MURDOCH MYSTERIES, WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS, and more. These esteemed filmmakers will be in attendance for a post-screening Q&A with the audience.
MP Scott Aitchison for Parry Sound-Muskoka will provide opening remarks and following the screening a reception will be held at the theatre.

The Canadian Film Fest (CFF) comes to Huntsville! The CFF Huntsville Canadian Film Gala takes place on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 7:00pm at the Algonquin Theatre in Huntsville, Ontario. This special evening celebrates independent Canadian cinema and marks the festival's official expansion into the Muskoka region. The night is very generously sponsored by REEL CANADA.
