The 25th Muskoka Novel Marathon announced its winners in September
Three manuscripts have taken top honours at the 25th annual Muskoka Novel Marathon in Huntsville.
Stacey Hunt and David Gambrill won Best Novel in English for their 67,000-word collaboration, “Bond Unbroken.” Kathleen May received an honourable mention.
The Spanish division ended in a tie between Maria Isabel Lopez’s “La Casa de Almert Street” and Wendolyn Lozano’s “Le recolectora de pigmentos.”
The 72-hour event brought together 50 writers who produced about 1,500 pages. The marathon also raised a record $17,430 for YMCA Simcoe Muskoka’s adult literacy programs, bringing its total fundraising since 2002 to more than $330,000.
