Visitors are required to mask up when visiting the hospitals
As cold and flu season ramps up, Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare is tightening its masking rules at both hospital sites.
Since October 3rd, staff, patients, and visitors are required to wear surgical masks when entering a patient’s room or interacting with others inside the hospitals.
Officials say masking helps protect patients and staff, keeps hospital operations running safely, and limits the spread of respiratory illnesses.
Masks are available at all hospital entrances and clinical areas, and MAHC reminds everyone to wash hands often and stay home if feeling unwell.
