Joy hopes to raise $5K for the Huntsville Hospital Fundraiser
Huntsville’s Joy Jarvis is back in the water this Sunday for her 30th annual charity swim, raising funds for a new CT scanner at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital.
Jarvis will swim 9 kilometres from the town dock, up the Muskoka River, around Gallagher Island, and back — joined this year by at least nine fellow swimmers.
She hopes to raise $5,000, adding to the more than $13,000 she’s raised for hospital equipment over the years. The swim starts at 8 a.m. on July 13.
