The province has released expected launch fares for the returning Northlander, with prices set slightly higher than current Ontario Northland bus rates.
Officials say tickets will be about 10 per cent more than bus travel, with a booking system expected to open closer to the service launch.
The rail line will connect communities including Toronto, North Bay, Timmins, and Huntsville.
Discounted fares will be available for seniors, students, military members, and medical travellers, with final pricing varying by route and passenger category.
Tickets for Toronto to Gravenhurst will cost $66.97 one way. Discounts apply for seniors, students and children.
