The sleds were both stolen from the Gravenhurst area
OPP are investigating after two snowmobiles were stolen in Gravenhurst and a suspected rider later fled from officers in Bracebridge.
The first theft happened overnight on Monday, February 9th on First Street South, involving a yellow Ski-Doo MXZ. A second sled, a 1994 yellow and black Ski-Doo, was reported stolen onThursday, February 12th from David Street.
Days later, an officer spotted a snowmobile matching the descriptions on Manitoba Street and again on Dill Street. Police attempted a stop, but the rider fled.
Officers did not pursue due to public safety concerns.
