Two men were charged in connection with the seizure of drugs
A months-long drug trafficking investigation in Muskoka and the Almaguin Highlands has resulted in charges against two men and the seizure of a significant quantity of illegal drugs.
Ontario Provincial Police say officers arrested a suspect in Burk's Falls on June 4th before executing a search warrant at a Main Street residence.
Investigators seized about 117 grams of suspected cocaine, 119 Percocet tablets, suspected methamphetamine, cash, cell phones and digital scales.
52-year-old James Downs of Burk's Falls faces multiple drug trafficking and Criminal Code charges and remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
34-year-old Matthew Dupuis of Bracebridge is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and oxycodone and is scheduled to appear in court July 9.
