Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre shuffled his shadow cabinet today
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre has reshuffled his critic team, naming Michael Chong as the new finance critic in the latest update to his front bench. Chong takes over from Jasraj Hallan, who moves to national revenue.
Parry Sound–Muskoka MP Scott Aitchison keeps his role as housing critic, where he focuses on housing supply, affordability, and reducing federal barriers to new home construction. Aitchison, a former Huntsville mayor, has been one of the party’s key voices on addressing Canada’s housing shortage, pushing for faster approvals and more local control over development.
The shuffle also sees Alberta MP Shuv Majumdar take on the Canada-U.S. relations file as Ottawa prepares for trade talks tied to CUSMA.
