No fires allowed except for cooking or warmth. A fire ban is in effect in Muskoka
Fire officials are reminding residents that dry conditions continue to create a serious wildfire risk across the region. Muskoka remains under a total fire ban, with no outdoor fires permitted for any reason, including cooking, warmth or fireworks.
In the Almaguin Highlands, the fire danger rating has been raised to high, with fires only permitted for cooking or warmth under current restrictions.
Residents are urged to use extreme caution with anything that could create sparks or heat.
