A 14-year-old student has been charged
Ontario Provincial Police say a youth has been charged following an incident that prompted a brief lockdown at a high school in Gravenhurst.
Officers from the Bracebridge detachment responded late Tuesday morning after a situation involving two students escalated near the school.
As a precaution, the school was temporarily locked down, but officials say the incident happened off school property and no one was hurt.
Police have charged a 14-year-old, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The lockdown was lifted shortly after officers secured the area.
