The town's Event Tourism and Community Grant program's recipients were announced by Mayor Maloney
The Town of Bracebridge is investing nearly $36,000 into local festivals, tourism and community programs this year.
Mayor Rick Maloney presented funding Tuesday through the town’s Event Tourism Grant and Community Grant programs.
More than $18,000 will support local events, including the Fire and Ice Festival, Muskoka Pride Festival, Oktoberfest and the Muskoka Marathon.
Another $17,000 is being directed toward community organizations, including Hospice Muskoka, MADD Canada, the Community YWCA of Muskoka and the Manna Food Bank.
Town officials say the funding is designed to boost tourism, strengthen local services and support community development across Bracebridge.
