The dept. received $25,000 for training equipment
Bracebridge Fire is getting a boost to its fire prevention efforts thanks to a grant from Firehouse Subs.
The department has received over $25,000 to purchase high-tech training tools, including a digital fire extinguisher system that can be used year-round, indoors or out.
Fire Chief Kevin Plested says the equipment will help expand community training and improve public safety.
The funding is part of over $4 million donated by the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation across Canada.
