Anyone in immediate danger from the cold should call 911
Bracebridge residents are being reminded that several municipal facilities are open as warming centres during the extreme cold.
With Environment Canada warning wind chill values of near -25, officials say these locations are available for anyone needing a safe place to stay warm.
Open during regular hours are the Bracebridge Municipal Office, the Sportsplex on Clearbrook Trail, and the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre on Salmon Avenue.
Officials urge residents to dress warmly if traveling, check on neighbours, and bring pets inside. Anyone in immediate danger from the cold should call 9-1-1.
