A number of initiatives are planned including the annual compost giveaway
Huntsville is gearing up for a series of community clean-up events as part of its Earth Week initiatives aimed at getting the town summer-ready.
The Town is inviting residents to take part in volunteer clean-ups running from April 20 to April 24 at locations across the community, including parks, public buildings, and the downtown core.
Events are scheduled daily, with gloves and cleanup materials provided, and a community BBQ planned following the downtown effort on April 23.
Officials say the goal is to remove winter and spring debris while encouraging community pride heading into the warmer months.
Additional clean-up and compost giveaway events are also planned later in the season as part of ongoing environmental efforts.
