The funds will be used to renovate the community home in Huntsville
Community Living Huntsville is getting a major funding boost to support housing for people with disabilities.
The organization has received $345,000 to help renovate its home on Main Street West, known as Floral Villa. The project will convert the aging property into at least three apartment units, including one fully accessible space, along with shared kitchen and office areas.
Officials say the work is aimed at improving accessibility and creating more stable, affordable housing options for residents who face long wait times and limited supports in the community. The renovations are expected to take place between June 2026 and March 2027.
