Calcium Chloride helps maintain gravel roads
Road crews will begin applying a dust suppressant to gravel roads in the Lake of Bays/Huntsville area this week.
The work is part of the annual calcium chloride program, which helps reduce dust and improve road durability.
Officials say the treatment binds gravel together, creating a more stable surface and cutting down on the need for frequent maintenance.
