OPP is urging drivers to make arrangements for a safe ride home
The Huntsville OPP is stepping up roadside enforcement for the holiday season. Officers launched their annual Festive RIDE campaign yesterday, running through New Year’s Day.
Checkpoints will be set up across Huntsville and the Township of Lake of Bays, as police work to deter impaired driving and remind motorists that alcohol- or drug-related impairment is never worth the risk.
The OPP is urging everyone to plan ahead, arrange a safe ride home, and help ensure a harm-free holiday season for the entire community. Anyone who spots a suspected impaired driver is asked to call 911 immediately.
