High water is causing the town to close some roads in low lying areas
A flood warning remains in effect across District of Muskoka, with rising water levels prompting concern in Huntsville.
The Ministry of Natural Resources says significant runoff, rainfall and warmer temperatures are driving water levels higher, with more increases expected in the days ahead.
Low-lying areas, including parts of the downtown core and Rivercove, are already seeing localized flooding, and some roads have been closed.
Residents are being urged to take precautions, avoid flooded areas and fast-moving water, and make use of sandbag stations now open across the community.
