That's more than one month of care
The numbers are in, and the annual Hospice Huntsville Radiothon has raised $64,070 for Algonquin Grace Hospice.
Hospice Huntsville and The Bay teamed up for the fundraiser, with donations supporting compassionate end-of-life care for local families.
The total is $10,070 above the original goal of $54,000, which was set to cover about one month of hospice operations.
The money will help support hospice beds, visiting services and grief support in the Huntsville area.
Besides donating air time and resources, the station donated $5,000 from Super Jackpot Bingo proceeds.
