Flags are flying at half-mast in Bracebridge following the passing of former mayor Scott Northmore, who died June 2 at the age of 91.
Northmore served on Bracebridge Council for 18 years between 1989 and 2006, including three terms as mayor. During his time in office, he helped guide major community projects such as the Bracebridge Sportsplex, early development of Peake Fields, and improvements to Bracebridge Bay Park. Town officials say his leadership also supported economic development and helped shape the community’s long-term growth.
