The municipality cites safety concerns
The Town of Gravenhurst plans to permanently close two access points to Highway 11.
The entrances at Manson/Cowbell Lane, just 100 metres north of the Severn River Bridge, and Mitchell Road, 2.7 kilometres north, are both slated for closure.
The province recommended the move based on technical and safety concerns. Gravenhurst Council reviewed the plan in April and will vote on the bylaw at their August 12 meeting.
Alternate access points for both roads will remain available farther north along the highway.
