Former Fire Chief and Director of Protective Services seeking answers for value vs. tax dollars
Former Huntsville Fire Chief and town staff member, Stephen Hernen says he is running for Huntsville Town Council because residents deserve answers about the value they are receiving for their tax dollars.
Hernen says after a 29 per cent increase in municipal taxes over recent years, residents are asking why they have not seen a similar improvement in services.
He says his goal is to bring his decades of municipal experience to council and focus on responsible spending, accountability and making sure taxpayers see results from their investments.
Hernen, a former Huntsville Fire Chief and Director of Protective Services, says local government should put residents first by listening to concerns and making practical decisions that balance community needs with financial responsibility. He is seeking election in the newly created Town/Chaffey Ward.
