The project aims to strengthen cultural understanding
A Muskoka-based non-profit focused on reconciliation and education has achieved a major milestone.
The Hope Arises Project has officially been granted registered charitable status by the Canada Revenue Agency. The organization says that means the organization can now issue tax receipts for donations, helping to support its mission of strengthening cultural understanding between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.
President and founder Joyce Jonathan Crone says the new status will help the group expand its impact across Muskoka and beyond.
