The radiothon helped raise over a month of care
On Friday, Hospice Huntsville announced the total amount raised during their annual radiothon on The Bay 88.7.
With a goal of one month of care – equating to $54,000, the fundraiser, blew through the target ending up with $80,456, which will help fund nearly a month and a half of operations.
The daily operating costs of the facility, which is provided as free service to the community, are $1,800 per day.
Hospice expressed thanks to their Radiothon Donors, Hourly Sponsors, Matching Minute Sponsors, Radiothon Challengers, and all the volunteers, guests, and storytellers who brought the day to life.
The result ensures that no one in our community will need to pay for end-of-life care, programs and services.
