The town donated 7.5 acres of land on Florence Street
Huntsville is moving ahead with a major new rental housing development on Florence Street.
The Muskoka Community Land Trust and its partners held a groundbreaking yesterday for the three-phase project, which will add 150 rental units when complete. The Town contributed 7.5 acres of land and waived permitting and development fees to help move the project forward.
Construction on the first phase is expected to start in October and finish by December 2027, with occupancy planned for January 2028.
