The initiative is in partnership with the Huntsville Art Society
The Town of Huntsville and the Huntsville Art Society (HAS) are teaming up to give local artists a new way to share their work — right inside Council Chambers at Town Hall.
This new exhibit space will showcase two-dimensional or relief works of art in the public meeting area where official town business takes place. Mayor Nancy Alcock says it’s a fitting way to show off the town’s creative spirit and community pride.
There’s no fee to enter. Selected works will be displayed for three months at a time, with quarterly rotations through the year. The exhibit will be curated by HAS through a juried process.
The first show will open during the regular council meeting in September.
