Police were kept busy on the long weekend
Huntsville OPP charged three drivers with impaired operation over the long weekend during separate incidents in Lake of Bays and Huntsville.
Late Friday night, police responded to a vehicle in a ditch on Highway 60 and charged the driver with impaired operation and driving over the legal limit.
The following day, officers at a RIDE checkpoint on Old Ferguson Road stopped a vehicle and determined the driver was under the influence of drugs.
Then early Sunday morning, police were called to a collision involving an off-road vehicle on Ravenscliffe Road. The driver was also charged with impaired operation and driving over the legal limit.
All three individuals were issued 90-day licence suspensions and are scheduled to appear in court next month in Bracebridge.
