A small fire caused the evacuation of the building.
The Town of Huntsville advises that Town Hall will be closed for the rest of today after a small fire in a public washroom.
The Huntsville Fire Department was called shortly after 11am this morning when maintenance staff investigating a fire alarm found thick black smoke coming from the Main Street washroom.
Firefighters quickly put out the fire with a portable extinguisher. Damage was contained to the washroom, and crews ventilated the building to clear the smoke.
No injuries were reported.
Fire Prevention Officers are investigating the cause of the fire. The Town says residents should monitor its website and social media for updates.
