Bob Hutchison passed away a month before his 100th birthday
Huntsville is mourning the loss of longtime businessman and community leader Bob Hutcheson, who has died peacefully at his home.
Hutcheson was a major supporter of local healthcare, with his family backing Huntsville hospitals for generations. In 2025, a record 20-million-dollar commitment was made to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation in his honour, with the new Huntsville hospital set to carry his name.
MPP Graydon Smith called Hutcheson a community and business leader who made the region a better place. Hutcheson was also an avid outdoorsman and, at 92, became the world’s oldest male waterskier.
