The second floor has re-opened for use, joining the library
The Township of Lake of Bays is continuing the phased reopening of the Baysville Community Centre complex following its closure earlier this month.
Township officials say the second-floor Community Centre and the Lake of Bays Public Library have now reopened to the public after engineers confirmed parts of the building are safe to access.
Hydro service has also been restored, with public entry available through Carol Street.
However, the arena floor remains closed as engineers continue assessing structural concerns involving the east wall near the maintenance room affected by the original incident.
Township officials say public safety remains the top priority as inspections continue.
