Road conditions now stabilizing, and normal vehicle weight limits can safely resume across the network
Lake of Bays is the first municipality to announce that seasonal weight limits on roads will soon be coming to an end, with half-load restrictions set to be lifted Friday, May 15th.
The township says the spring restrictions are used each year to protect local roads during the freeze-thaw period, when pavement is most vulnerable to damage.
Officials say with conditions now stabilizing, normal vehicle weight limits can safely resume across the network.
