The reveal is part of Canada Day celebrations in Dwight on July 1st
The Township of Lake of Bays is inviting residents and visitors to celebrate Canada Day and the official launch of its newly branded Lake of Bays Fire Rescue Department at Fire Fest on July 1.
The event takes place at Dwight Beach beginning at 3 p.m. and will feature the unveiling of the department’s new logo, mission and brand identity. Organizers say the celebration will include live music, family activities, a community barbecue, silent auction and a fireworks display at dusk.
Fire Chief Jeremy Alldred-Hughes says Fire Fest recognizes both Canada Day and the dedication of local firefighters while marking a new chapter for the department.
Drivers should note Dwight Beach Road will be closed from noon on July 1 until midnight to accommodate the event.
