The sewage system inspection system is launching this summer
The Township of Lake of Bays is inviting residents to learn more about septic system care and a new inspection program launching this summer.
Officials say the Sewage System Maintenance Inspection Program will help property owners understand how septic systems are maintained, how inspections will work, and why the program is being introduced to protect lakes and drinking water.
A public information session will be held June 5 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the municipal office in Dwight, and residents are encouraged to RSVP in advance. Township staff say the session will also explain common septic issues and how early maintenance can help prevent environmental impacts and costly repairs.
