The pioneer church has recently been restored from the ground up
The Town of Huntsville has officially designated the Madill Church, on Old Muskoka Road, as a heritage property under Ontario’s Heritage Act.
Built in 1872 with logs donated by local families, the church stands as a rare example of pioneer-era construction and sits beside the historic Madill Cemetery.
Anyone wishing to appeal the by-law has until August 28 to file with the Ontario Land Tribunal.
