Dr. Khaled Abdel-Razek has announced he is retiring
A leadership change is coming to local healthcare, as Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare announces the upcoming retirement of its Chief of Staff. Khaled Abdel-Razek will step down at the end of August after years of guiding clinical improvements across the organization.
During his tenure, MAHC says care quality was strengthened, physician development expanded, and key programs modernized — including the hospitalist model and regional partnerships.
Board Chair Dave Uffelmann credits Abdel-Razek with helping drive a culture of excellence and improving efficiency, including shorter patient stays.
The board will now begin the search for a new Chief of Staff, with a selection committee expected to lead the recruitment process in the weeks ahead.
