The walk made its way through Downtown Huntsville on Monday
Downtown Huntsville came to a respectful pause yesterday as the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls MOC Walk made its way through the community.
The walk, held Monday morning, brought temporary road closures on Veterans Way, Brunel Road, Main Street East, and Centre Street South.
Escorted by OPP officers, participants walked in honour of Indigenous women and girls who have been lost to violence.
The event was part of a national day of remembrance and raised awareness about ongoing calls for justice.
