The District is working to fill gaps in childcare coverage
The District of Muskoka reports that families in rural Muskoka are seeing more access to child care and early learning services as local school boards, operators and the District expand programs across several communities.
New and expanded licensed child care spaces, home child care options, and EarlyON programming have been added in areas including Glen Orchard, Honey Harbour, MacTier, Bala and Port Carling. The District says the goal is to improve access in rural areas where services have historically been limited.
The District says it will continue working with partners to identify gaps and expand services in underserved areas.
